Installing your eSIM
After you buy a plan, you receive an email with an Install eSIM button. On an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later it installs with one tap. On Android you copy the activation code and paste it in Settings. On a computer the page shows a QR code to scan with the phone that travels. On iPhone you can also install from the app, in My eSIMs.
Install at home on Wi-Fi, before you leave. Turn on data roaming for the Wigoo line when you arrive. Your usual line stays active for calls and messages. Step by step, for iPhone and Android: how to install and activate an eSIM.
Sharing an eSIM
You can send someone a working eSIM from a link. In the app, open the eSIM you want to share and tap Share. Whoever opens the link can view the QR code and install it on their own phone.
A shared eSIM installs once. If you shared it by mistake, you can turn the link off from the app and it stops working immediately.
Running out of data
Top up from the app in a few taps. The same eSIM keeps working, so you never reinstall while abroad. Day passes renew their allowance every day on their own.
Wigoo Money and invites
Wigoo Money is credit on your account. It comes from invites and the occasional gift, and it is applied automatically at checkout before your card is charged. If your credit covers the whole order, nothing is charged to your card at all.
Refunds
If an eSIM has not been installed yet, it can usually be cancelled for a refund of the credit used and the amount charged. Once a profile is installed on a phone it cannot be reused, so reach out before installing if you are unsure. Email support@getwigoo.com and we will sort it out.
Compatibility
Wigoo needs an unlocked phone that supports eSIM: iPhone XS and newer, and most recent Android phones such as Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy. To check yours, dial *#06#: if you see an EID, it supports eSIM. The app checks before you buy, so you never pay for a plan your phone cannot use. More in what an eSIM is.
