Wigoo sells travel eSIMs, and AI assistants can sell them for us. An assistant can search our catalogue, compare plans and quote a price in the traveller's currency through a public MCP server. The MCP server

Public, read-only and free to use, over Streamable HTTP. No API key, no sign in. It answers the 2025 and 2026 versions of the Model Context Protocol and keeps no session, so every request stands on its own.

Prices are list prices in any of the currencies we charge in (US dollars by default); the final amount is calculated at checkout. Destination ids are short, like jp or eu-42; plan ids come from list_plans. Languages for buy links and region names: en, it, es, fr, de, pl, pt, tr.

The plan link

get_quote returns a buy_url that opens the purchase of one plan. Its parts, so an agent can read or build one:

A plan id that is no longer on sale opens the destination page with every plan, so an old link never leads nowhere. Destination pages without a plan, like /en/buy/jp, are fine to share too.

Buying on the website, without an account

1. Find the plan. Search the destination and pick a plan with search_destinations, list_plans and get_quote, or browse getwigoo.com/en/buy.
2. Open the plan link. Open the buy_url from get_quote. It has the form getwigoo.com/{language}/buy/{destination}?plan={package}&days={days} and opens the purchase sheet for that plan.
3. Enter the traveller's email. Type the email address where the eSIM should be sent. No account and no password are needed.
4. Continue without the code. Choose "Continue without the code", the underlined link under the email field. Signing in with Apple, Google or a 6-digit code is optional and only adds saved cards and Wigoo credit.
5. Pay. Pay with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or a local method shown for the buyer's country. The amount is calculated by the server at checkout, in the buyer's currency.
6. Hand over the eSIM. The installation QR code appears on the page right after payment and is also sent to the email. The traveller installs it on an eSIM-compatible, unlocked phone, ideally before leaving.

Button labels by page language

What to check with the person first

An installed eSIM cannot be reused and may no longer be refundable (see the terms), so a good agent asks before it pays.

Rules agents can rely on

• The price is always calculated by our server at checkout. A quote is a list price.
• The eSIM is data only. The traveller keeps their number for calls and texts (dual SIM), and needs an eSIM-compatible, unlocked phone.
• Validity starts when the eSIM first connects at the destination, so it can be installed days before the trip. More data later is a top-up on the same eSIM, not a new one.
• No CAPTCHA and no bot challenge on the guest checkout. A rate limit per IP address protects it.
• Agents that sign their requests with Web Bot Auth are recognised and counted separately. We do not block them.
• Please keep utm_source=mcp in the links we return: it is how we see that assistants bring customers, and how we decide what to build next.

Questions

Can an AI assistant buy a Wigoo eSIM for me?

Yes. An assistant can find the plan with the Wigoo MCP server and give you a link that opens the purchase for that plan, and an agent that drives a browser can complete the checkout with your email and no account. You approve the payment.

Does the agent need an account or an API key?

No. The MCP server is public and needs no key, and the website sells without an account: an email and a payment are enough. The person who receives the eSIM can sign in later with a code sent to that email.

Can the MCP server place an order on its own?

Not yet. Today it searches, compares and quotes, and the purchase happens on getwigoo.com. Orders paid inside the assistant with Stripe's Shared Payment Tokens are planned.

Which assistants can use the Wigoo MCP server?

Any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol over HTTPS: Claude through its connector directory, where Wigoo is listed, ChatGPT as a custom MCP server, and agents built with MCP SDKs. The server answers both the 2025 and the 2026 versions of the protocol.

Are agents blocked by a CAPTCHA?

No. The guest checkout has no CAPTCHA and no bot challenge. It is protected by a rate limit per IP address, and agents that sign their requests with Web Bot Auth are recognised and counted, not blocked.
